First enquiry and intake questionnaire
The first contact is usually via email to discuss your interest in having art psychotherapy. We might exchange a few emails to clarify whether therapy feels right or have a short 10-15 minutes phone call.
If both sides reach an agreement the following stage is to arrange a consultation meeting and fill a questionnaire (sent via email).
In these times of restrictions due to the current pandemic this meeting can be arranged as a video-conference or a telephone call although ideally it would be done in person.
How will your information be used
Art psychotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and follow the confidentiality guidelines imposed by this regulating body.

Consultation and start of therapy
An initial consultation session/s will be arranged as an introductory meeting and assessment of needs. This might entail collecting some more in-depth personal information besides the details provided in the intake questionnaire, discussing aims for therapy and establishing the terms of our work together such as day and time of the sessions, frequency, cancellation procedures, etc.
Pricing, frequency and length of sessions
I work primarily psychodynamically and my sessions last 50 minutes.
The price per session is £50. If we agree to meet several times monthly these can be paid at the end of each month. I will send an invoice and payment details.
Usually it is recommended that the sessions happen weekly but this can be adjusted according to need and length of treatment.
